John Tyler

John Tyler, 10th President of the United States, from 1841-1845. Tyler was the first Vice President to become President upon the death of a sitting President (William Henry Harrison). Born in Virginia on March 29, 1790, Tyler died on January 18, 1862 in Richmond, Virginia. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Confederate House of Representatives.
