Waukesha Flyers

Fritz Warden (at the propeller) and Lee Barney, two young members of the Waukesha Flying Club, together with Barney's Aeronica C2 airplane. The Aeronica was a small, lightweight, easy-to-operate sport plane with a fabric shell. Because they were also relatively inexpensive, Aeronicas were popular during the 1920s and 1930s. Neil Armstrong is said to have learned to fly in one.
