Head and shoulders oval studio portrait of Ole Larson, a private in C Company, 15th Wisconsin Infantry in uniform. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Oakland, Wisconsin. On October 21, 1861, he enlisted at Waterford, Wisconsin and was mustered into service at Madison, Wisconsin on December 02, 1861, at the age of 34. On November 4, 1862, he was noted as being absent sick at Bowling Green, Kentucky and died on December 15, 1862, in Nashville, Tennessee of disease.
