Maple Tree

Image

A large soft maple tree stands beside a small house with plastic sheeting on the porch screens. There is a barn with a silo in the background, and snow on the ground. Author Ben Logan grew up on this farm and wrote about the maple tree, and his mother's devotion to it, in his book The Land Remembers.
