Bald Cypress

Noted Kenosha County "citizen conservationist" and environmentalist Phil H. Sander (1906-2006) holding a tape measure around the trunk of the Rhodesdale bald cypress in Kenosha County. The tree was transplanted from Louisiana in the mid 1800's by John Rhodes. The Rhodes farm is now part of the Richard Bong State Recreation Area.
