Charter Presentation to the Mendota Woman's Club

Officers of the Wisconsin Federation of Women's Clubs inspect the charter that was presented to the Mendota Woman's Club by the General Federation of Women's Clubs. It was history-making in that it marked the first time in the United States that a club composed of women patients in a mental institution was admitted to the General Foundation. The state officers pictured are: seated (left to right): Mrs. Kenneth Reed, Kenosha, and Mildred Horne, Madison, who is state president.
