Louis M. Hobbins House in Fuller's Woods

Image

Old Rectory Sales of Grace Episcopal Chruch is in charge of the sale of furnishings of the historic Louis M. Hobbins house built by E.M. Fuller on the shores of Lake Mendota at 16 Fuller Court in Fuller's Woods in Maple Bluff. Mrs. Hobbin's father, E.M. Fuller, a prominent lumberman, built the Fuller Opera House on E. Mifflin Street in Madison. Mr. and Mrs. Hobbins and their only daughter Shirley, moved into the house after the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Fuller. Gracing a corner of the living room is an Italian ivory base on a rococo plinth. Dragon mask handles and rococo ornamentation decorate the vase which is painted with flowers, butterflies and buds.
