White Tower

Exterior view of the White Tower hamburger restaurant, with "1502" posted on the door. The White Tower restaurants were founded by John and Thomas Saxe in Milwaukee in 1926, based on the success of the White Castle restaurant chain. The Saxe brothers owned many theaters and located White Tower restaurants near the theaters. In 1929 White Castle sued White Tower for unfair competition. In the background is a large brick building with a front porch, and a sign that reads: "The Maurice."
