Kissel Ad

Image

Advertisement from "Motor Age" magazine for the new White Eagle Speedster manufactured by the Kissel Motor Car Company of Hartford, Wisconsin. With 115 horsepower, the company bragged "it was a white streak across the countryside--terrific speed for red-blooded Americans who demand speed at its speediest." The Kissel Motor Car began production in Hartford, Wisconsin, in 1907. The original name, the Kissel Kar, was changed during World War I, when the spelling "kar" seemed too German.
