A view, framed with an oval mask, of the Wisconsin Central spur line tracks along the north shore of Buffalo Lake at Montello. The spur connected with the Wisconsin Central main line near Packwaukee. The printed caption, "Just Approaching Montello Wis." suggests the photograph was taken from the rear of a rail car as it approached the Montello depot.
