Wild Rose Service Station

Herman Hanson built this small rectangular brick station before the spring of 1928. Motorists would have known from the bright red tile roof that this little filling station proudly sold Wadhams gasoline.

Kewaunee Service Station
2008
This Tudor Revival-style Wadhams Service Station at 302 Ellis Street opened in 1931. The Kewaunee Enterprise proclaimed it a "very fine improvement in the business section of the city."
Rockbridge Service Station
2008
In 1926, the Cunningham family added a small filling station to the corner of their lot, where 1082 Main Street (Lodge Street today) intersects with State Trunk Highway 80.
Burlington Service Station

Filling station built in 1927, at 148 West Chestnut Street, by Jack Hansen.
Osceola Service Station
2008
This Art Moderne service station located at 202 North Cascade Street was built in 1947. With its dramatically curved facade, it undoubtedly grabbed the attention of postwar motorists.
Pence Service Station
2008
Gus Savera built his service garage along Highway 77 in the mid-1940s. It was constructed out of cinder blocks and featured bright blue trim.
Stoddard Service Station
2008
In 1933, Lester Proksch constructed this striking filling station in the small river town, at 201 North Main Street. Less's Service was opened in July of 1933.
