View across snowy road towards men and women posing in front of Idlewild Lodge, a two-story wood framed structure with log siding on the first floor, and a large fieldstone chimney. Three of the men are holding pairs of skis, and other skis are leaning against parked cars. Two of the cars have snow chains on the tires. A description on the negative envelope describes a "Bunch of [the] Rhinelander gang and kids out for Sunday dinner at Young's." An added notation explains, "Idlewild Lodge, Harshaw, Oneida County, Wis. (identified 1987 by an employee of the resort, which is still in operation, Kathy Verdi.)" Edward C. Young built the resort in the early 1920's.
