Recruiting poster. At the top is printed "Attention! Mechanics." Underneath is an eagle with a banner in his beak, which reads "Rally, Boys! Rally!" and "Your Country Needs You NOW!" Under that is the text, "Thirty More Men Wanted! To fill up Capt. Miller's Company, attached to the Mechanics' Fusileer Regiment. Col. J.W. Wilson, Commanding. Now in Camp at Camp Webb, Chicago, rapidly filling up. Pay, $17.00 per month and 40 cents per day, extra. Enlisted as Engineer Soldiers. Mechanics, Railroad Men and good active Laborers particularly wanted."
