La Crosse County Highway

Roadimprovements along the portion of US Highway 16 known as the La Crosse-West Salem Road. At the time, this road represented the ultimate in modern highway construction. The grading was completed in 1935 by William Lathers and the paving was done by J.D. Bonness, Inc., of Milwaukee.
