House on North Henry Street

View towards the front and right side of 524 North Henry Street, looking from the intersection of Henry and Langdon Streets. This Greek Revival residence was erected in 1851 for J.T. Marston. The location he chose for his house was then considered to be quite remote from the rest of the town, which was clustered around the Capitol. From 1909 to 1923, the house was used by the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. From 1925 to around 1942 and again from 1946 until its demolition around 1962, it was used by the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity.
