Scenic Old Mill

This picturesque windmill is seen along the beautiful South Shore Drive, Hiway [number struck out with a star], on the Lake Superior Circle Route Tour." The Davidson Windmill was built by Jacob Davidson in 1904 and operated until 1926. The mill ground animal feed and flour for residents within a ten mile area. The mill is a State and National Historic Site.
