Post Office Block

Text on front reads: "Post Office Building, Whitehall, Wis." Known as the "Post Office Block," the building was constructed in 1898 by postmaster Christopher E. Scott, one of the first settlers of Whitehall. A woman and two men are standing near the doorway and a sled and horses are on the left. It is built of brick in the Italianate style and held the post office and other businesses. Signs read: "Post Office", "Dr. L.N. Larson, Veterinarian", "Saloon" and "Hotel Best." Today, the building is a restaurant with a cafe next door.

Hotel Hammond
July 27, 1912
Text on front reads: "Hotel Hammond, Westfield, Wis." A two-story hotel built of concrete block with a covered porch. Later it was called the Hotel Westfield & Bar, and it was demolished in 1986.
