An Accurate Map of New Hampshire in New England, from a Late Survey
Map
This map shows New Hampshire, including present-day Maine, and surrounding regions. The map shows borders, cities, numerous forts, the country of the Iroquois, mountains, rivers, and lakes. A handwritten note at the top of the map reads "about 1755" though the map actually dates much later, towards the end of the American Revolution. Faint offsetting is apparent, a common printers' mistake when two sheets were placed on top of each other before the ink fully dried. The title cartouche features a decorative frame border.
