A line of female contestants at a local beauty pageant for Wisconsin-wide media outlets and community organizations. They are standing before a turquoise curtain pulled over a similarly colored sweep that extends across the floor. The curtain is draped white gauzy fabric. Contestants are wearing one-piece bathing suits (with and without straps), heels (peep- and closed-toe), red lipstick and sashes that reference the media. They are mostly facing a seated audience in the Sternewirt taproom of the Pabst Brewing Company. A man seen amidst the ladies is holding a snapshot camera to his eye and is taking pictures towards the audience.
