A caption at the bottom reads: "National Hardware Convention, Convention Hall, Atlantic City, N.J., October 4-7 1959." At far right is Edward J. Brumder of Milwaukee, who at the time of the photograph was vice-president of The North American Press, which specialized in printing hardware catalogs. In the background are signs for a theater, a bar, and Planter's Peanuts.
