State Mining School
1930
A view of a tree on the grounds near a building at the State Mining School. This maple tree was planted in 1869 by, Professor Charles H. Allen, Professor Duncan McGregor, and Melvin Grigsby.

Mitchell-Rountree House
1930
The Mitchell-Rountree house, built in 1837 by Samuel Mitchell of Virginia whose daughter, Mary Grace Mitchell, was married to John H. Rountree, the founder of Platteville.
