Bayfield & Ashland Counties including the Apostle Islands

This late 19th century map of Bayfield and Ashland counties shows the township and range grid, towns, sections, cities and villages, railroads, stations, roads, the Ironton Trail, Indian reservations, and geographic features such as pine barrens and the Penokee Iron Range. The civil towns of Bayfield, Iron River, Washburn, Mason, Drummond are outlined and labeled in color. This map resembles the 1877 Map of Ashland and Bayfield counties by Snyder, Van Vechten & Co., with additions and changes. This copy is untitled and does not show Iron River.
