Martin
Map
This manuscript plat map shows a paper city on the site of what is now Appleton, Wisconsin. This plat of Martin, later called Grand Chute, shows streets, a public square, land "reserved for hydrolic purposes," and a dam and falls in the Fox River. This village became a ghost town and the land was incorporated into the city of Appleton. The bottom margin includes textual description of the town site and street widths.
