Prairie du Chien

This map is a development plat that shows street names, numbered blocks and lots, small farm lot owners, ferry, and steam boat landing. Included on the right of the map is a large block of text describing the land, the Mississippi River, and the Wisconsin River, including quotes from Lyon, Carver, Maj. Long, Schoolcraft, Latrobe, Hoffman, and Governor Dodge. Relief is shown by hachures.
