The base map, printed by the Wisconsin Colonization Company, is a plat showing lot and block numbers and dimensions as well as section lines. Hand-colored annotations show zones of public land, business, industry, residence, and farming. Roads names are annotated in red and additional details are noted in pencil. It is sheet 1 of a set of 3 maps of Ojibwa housed together.
