Summary

Built between 1857 and 1937, the district is composed of 73 historic buildings at the center of Manitowoc's commercial and civic activities. The mostly 20story brick structures are of Queen Anne, Beaux Arts-influenced, Neo-Classical Revival, Italianate, Art Deco, and commercial vernacular styles, and include mostly commercial buildings, a few industrial structures, and several residences.
