Summary
Built between 1907 and 1937, Statesan was the first and largest state-sponsored tuberculosis camp in Wisconsin. The four-acre district includes eight buildings on a hilltop in the Kettle Moraine region. The massive three-story Classical Revival limestone hospital is surrounded by smaller stucco-clad Craftsman-inspired support buildings. It has functioned as the Ethan Allen School for Boys since 1959.
