2026: The Vernacular house at 100 5th Avenue is positioned northeast of the Kenosha Street and N 5th Avenue intersection. It is two-stories in height with an irregular plan. It is clad in vinyl siding and rests on an uncoursed stone foundation. The standing seam metal front-gable roof has lower cross gables on the north and south slopes. A one and one-half story wing projects from the east elevation and is sheltered by a gable roof. A brick chimney stack rises from the center of the main ridgeline. A covered wrap around porch is at the southwest corner of the house and a shed roof shelters a porch that extends from the south elevation of the one and one-half story wing. The windows are a mix of fixed light with transom, one-over-one, bay, casement, awning, and fixed light surrounded by smaller square lights sashes. An outbuilding is positioned northeast of the house. It is clad in vinyl siding and is sheltered by a front-gable roof with a shed extension over the west elevation. The south-facing façade has a pedestrian door and one-over-one window at the east end under the gable, and two sashes at the west end under the extension. The east and west elevations have two windows. The Vernacular house at 200 Kenosha Street was constructed ca. 1900 and was evaluated for the National Register under Criteria A, B, and C. The house is a typical example of a Gable Front house. It has diminished integrity due to application of vinyl siding, some vinyl replacement windows, and alterations to the porch. It recommended not eligible for listing in the NRHP under Criterion C: Architecture. Preliminary research did not suggest any potential significance under Criteria A: Events or Criteria B: People.
