Additional Comments Herbert J. Newman is listed in the 1926 Milwaukee City Directory as a real estate agent sharing offices with Maynard & Picken in the 602 Wells Bldg. Maynard & Picken are real estate agents and home builders. H.J. Newman seems to be a salesman for Maynard & Picken, but is sometimes listed in his own name as a real estate agent or builder (AHI#’s 27866, 27888, 27933). Matilda Juneau Kissinger was the grand niece of Solomon Juneau, founder of Milwaukee. Matilda Juneau was a daughter of Joseph Juneau (1837-1919). Matilda held title to this property in her own right until she sold it in 1943.
