WINGS TO E AND S ARE LATER ADDITIONS. "This two-story residence began as a smaller frame and stone residence of Wilhelm Schroeder, one of Cedarburg's three founders. Grundke, his son-in-law, later enlarged and converted in into a stately two story Georgian style residence. In the process, he cased the walls with brick and erected the present second story roof over the original roof beams. Note the stone lintels over the windows. The south addition was built in 1965 as office space." A Walk Through Yesterday in Cedarburg
