A 'site file' titled Lake Mills Downtown Commercial Historic District exists for this property. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. This two-store building was built in 1915 for Otto Gericke. The building replaced an older two-story brick-veneered building on the same site owned by Gericke that was destroyed by fire in 1914. Henry Luetzow's meat market was one of the first occupants. |
