2015: "The Rice Lake Chamber of Commerce Information Center property contains two c.1960 one-story rectangular-plan Contemporary office buildings. A long-time resident of Rice Lake indicated that the buildings were previously occupied by Rice Lake Utilities, although a historic photo shows that the Chamber of Commerce has occupied the northern building since at least 1966. The southern building is currently unoccupied. The northern building (AHI No. 230499) has a flat roof with plain metal coping and the concrete block walls feature a decorative faceted texture on the front (west) facade and north and south (side) elevations. Projecting concrete block pilasters divide the front facade into five bays, and the main entrance is located in the northernmost bay. A tall concrete block sign and low concrete planter flank the entrance, and a flat metal awning extends from the entrance, supported between the sign and I-beam posts at each end of the planter. The three southern bays of the front facade contain large picture windows and a fourth picture window is located at the west side of the south (side) elevation. The north (side) elevation has two windows with horizontal sliding sash, and the rear (east) elevation has one set of sliding sash flanked by a metal door with three horizontally-divided lights. The second building (AHI No. 230500) is located immediately to the south and set back slightly farther from Main Street, and features similar architectural details, including the long rectangular form, flat roof with simple coping, and decorative concrete block walls. The front facade consists of a band of picture windows with aluminum fixed sash and a glazed metal door. The rear half of the building has plain concrete block walls and glass block windows. An overhead garage door is located on the rear (east) elevation, and a pair of metal doors are located on the north (side) elevation." -"S.
