| Additional Comments | The Jennings Street Entrance to Hatten Park is composed of two, random, rock-faced, limestone ashlar walls with a jagged stone top measuring 75 feet in length. The wall is anchored on either end with a random, rock-faced limestone ashlar pier. The outer pier is adjacent, but not attached, to the perimeter wall, although it is the same height as the piers in the perimeter wall. The Jennings Street Entrance walls rise from three feet tall at the outer pier to about five feet at the inner pier. The inner piers are about eight feet high and frame the drive into Hatten Park. This resource was built by New London men through the WPA relief program. |
