Additional Comments A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. The Skowronski Building is a two story commercial structure, exhibiting the rectilinear facade treatment typical of early twentieth century Stevens Point buildings. The symmetrical facade was originally anchored by the central stairway, with the entrance (first floor) and window (Second St.) framed by pilasters. The date stone rests in the pediment above this bay. The bays on either side contain two windows on the secnod story level and corbelled brick cornices. Stone sills with drafted margins and stone blocks set into corner piers accent the facade. The integrity of the design has been destroyed by the enclosure of storefronts with cast stone and concrete block. This building was built for the Skowronski and Nowatzky saloon in 1904.
