Additional Comments THIS PROPERTY CONSISTED OF TWO BUILDINGS ORIGINALLY; THE SOUTHERN ONE BELONGED TO JOSEPH ATWOOD, A COOPER, AND THE OTHER TO SAMUEL MCLARITY, A TAILOR. BY 1861 THE BUILDINGS WERE COMBINED AND SERVED FARMERS WHO WERE WAITING TO USE THE GRIST MILL. THE KURTH BREWING CO. BOUGHT THE BUILDING IN 1895 AND LEASED IT TO PEOPLE AS AN OUTLET FOR THEIR BEER UNTIL 1946. THE NAME "FIREMAN'S" WAS FIRST USED IN THE 1930S WHEN HENRY KRENZ, THE FIRE CHIEF, RAN IT.
