A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2006- Charles and Aurora Susie Mittelstadt. Built in 1921, exceptionally well-preserved example of American Foursquare style. The Mittelstadt family were prominent in the Eau Claire business community, and were also deeply involved in civic organizations such as the YMCA, the Chamber of Commerce and the Temple of Freemasonry. 2014- "This house is an excellent example of American Foursquare style house, the most common of the sub-types of the Prairie Style popularized in the twentieth century by Frank Lloyd Wright. Typical characteristics include the irregular square footprint, symmetrical primary facade, low pitched hipped roof, three-hipped dormers, and full-width front porch. Charles Mittelstadt was a prominent businessman within the community with the H.T.
