| Bibliographic References | As of 1990, identified as the S.J. Rasmussen House, Historic name, date of construction: River Falls Journal, 17 March 1898. However...other research done locally suggests someone else as the owner (Frank D. Ensign)--per the following citation in the River Falls Journal, 4 October 1906: "Frank Ensign is building another house on East Elm street next to one built by Charles Bartholomew." See also info for 513 E. Elm Street. Need to confirm through tax rolls. The 1908 County plat map cites FD Ensign as the owner of the parcel. The 1920 census places Frank's widow Harriet in this home. |
