The Neo-Classical Revival detailing of this small quasi-public building is highlighted by limestone columns in antis which give the building its hint of Roman Temple form. The building which has not been altered, is of buff colored brick, accented with the limestone trim. This is a common architectural motif of the period and the building is of some interest but only as it contributes to the significance of the District as an intact local example of a common early 20th century national building type and architectural style. Previously surveyed in 1982. |
