| Additional Comments | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Intricate cornice. Perhaps one of the oldest extant houses in Marshfield. Was the home of William Upham (1841-1924), Wisconsin governor from 1895-1897. Supposedly the first house in the community to have electricity and running water. Later owners included Mrs. W.H. Upham/Mrs. H.G. Hambright (1885-1975). |
