Additional Comments Sanborn-Perris maps show that this one-story, brick, Mediterranean Revival style automobile service station was built after 1933 and the design suggests a construction date in the 1930s. According to abstract of title, the station was built in 1937. Appears to be a standard plan Sinclair design.

1995- "Service Station (now Fred's Small Motor Repair Shop), VE23/4. Sanborn maps show that this one-story rectilinear plan Mediterranean Revival style building was constructed after 1933. The building has a concrete pad foundation, its walls are constructed out of cream brick, and its flat roof is hidden by a flattened triangular arch-shaped parapet wall on the east-facing side elevation and by two barrel tile-covered pent roofs that form the parapet on the main north-facing facade. All of the building's original display windows and doors appear to be still intact, including the two large twelve-light overhead garage doors on the main facade, and in general the building, while in somewhat deteriorated condition, appears to be in largely original condition. Never-the-less, the relatively simple design and modest scale of the building makes it unlikely that it is individually eligible for listing in the NRHP."
