It is not known when this drop siding-clad Astylistic Utilitarian form animal barn was built but it is possible that it is a portion of a longer and earlier barn located on the same site that was built between 1911 and 1922 to house sheep. 1995- "It is not known when this one-story Astylistic Utilitarian form rectilinear plan animal barn was built, but it is possible that it is a portion of an earlier barn built prior to 1922 to house sheep. The present building has a concrete pad foundation, walls clad in clapboards, and an asphalt-shingle-covered gable roof whose ridgeline runs east-west. Despite the uncertainty about its history this building is clearly connected by design and method of construct1on to the fairground's historic animal barns and it is considered to be a contributing resource in the district tor this reason." - "USH 14 Transportation Study ", WisDOT ID #1646-07-00, Prepared by Timothy F Heggland (1995). |
