| Additional Comments | This building contributes to the architectural significance of the Jefferson Avenue Historic District as a fine example of concrete block construction. This two story house is built of rusticated concrete block, a material being developed and promoted by concrete manufacturers during the first decade of the twentieth century. It was especially thought to be good as a fireproof material. The house has late Queen Anne features, but is not elaborately decorated due to the concrete block material. |
