| Additional Comments | When first surveyed in 1975 this Greek Revival style Gable Ell form house had been resided in aluminum or vinyl clapboards. It was resurveyed in 2021, by which time it had been resided once again, this time in vinyl. Also by 2021, the two window openings in the main NE-facing facade of the one-story ell had also been altered and one is now smaller and the other has been enlarged and is now a door opening. This house appears on the 1891 Plat Map of Orfordville. 2021: This small Greek Revival Style Gable Ell form house occupies a corner lot, and it was built ca.1855, and has a nearly rectilinear plan and a two-story-tall upright central block that has one-story-tall ells attached to its two side elevations, and its main façade faces northeast onto Beloit Street. The house has a multi-gable roof, it is now sided in vinyl clapboards, most of its window openings have now been altered, and those that haven’t now contain modern one-over-one-light windows. |
