Baseball Game on Kwajalein Island
An exhibition baseball game on a Naval Base on Kwajalein Island of the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific. Both teams had Big League players drawn from navy ranks. The Navy Base declared a half holiday to allow the men to attend. The winds must have been gusty that day, as the palm fronds are streaming to the right. |
