Lindbergh after his arrival in Paris on an inspection tour of Le Bourget airport. The man on Lindbergh's left with whom he is chatting is the British aviator, Sir Alan Cobham. Over Lindy's left shoulder (without a hat) is journalist Leland Stowe, whose papers are housed in the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives. Stowe was covering the Lindbergh story for the New York Herald Tribune. |
