Philip F. La Follette at the Microphone
Philip F. La Follette speaking to a radio audience during his unsuccessful gubernatorial reelection bid during the summer of 1938. La Follette, the son of Robert M. La Follette, Sr., served three two-year terms as governor. Like his father Phil La Follette was well-known for his public speaking. The microphone suggests he was speaking somewhere near Evansville, Indiana, not in Wisconsin. |
