He signed the Treaty of 1855 as "Maw-he-coo-shaw-hoo-no-kaw, One Who Stands and Reaches the Sky, called Little Decorie." On the Treaty of 1865 he is called "Little Dakoria." The city of Decorah, Iowa, is named in his honor. |
