Shopping for Sausage
Irene Steinkopf, a former Milwaukee journalist, shops for sausage in Vienna where her husband had been assigned by the Associated Press. A bit much for two persons, she says to the butcher, and she settles for six hot dogs. In her album, Irene wrote, hot dogs were called frankfurters in Vienna; a "wiener" is a Viennese man. |
