Willms Home with Cigar Workers
Cigar workers on the sidewalk in front of the Willms home, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They are young men and older boys, some in aprons. Anna Willms (b. 1881) and Edward Willms (b. 1886), children of Gustav Willms (c. 1854-1917) and Kunigunde (Dorn) Willms (1857-1941), stand on the porch. Written on back: "Willms's House. Muskego Ave. Milwaukee, about 16th St. Cigar factory workers--the cigar factory was in the back of the house--owned by grandfather of Betsy Trepte, Gustav Willms." |
