Women Workers in Osborne Works Cafeteria
Elevated view of a large group of female factory workers sitting at tables in a cafeteria at International Harvester's Osborne Works. The women likely worked in the Twine Mill. The women are dressed in work clothes and puffy hats. The room has several rows of long wooden tables and chairs, and the tables are set with tableware. On the back wall is a pail, a large metal urn, and a Victrola. Two or three people, perhaps kitchen staff, are standing at a doorway in the back. The room has a high ceiling with exposed rafters and pipes, electric lights hang from the ceiling, and there are narrow windows at the top of the room. |
